Nika King
Nika King is a force to be reckoned with. Seeking out to begin her career as a fashion model, King realized that making silly faces is much more fun than striking a sexy pose. Raunchy but religious, King lets it all out onstage as a stand-up comedian, but still remains faithful to her religion on-screen and off. A political activist, King wants to make a change in how her audience views the world.
King’s love of comedy began while attending the University of Florida where she eventually received her B.A. in Theatre Performance and taught high school for two years after graduating. Feeling accomplished with helping to motivate the youth, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her comedy dreams. After studying at the famous Groundlings Theatre, King soon was able to land her first role on MTV’s Wild N Out. Her passion for sketch comedy growing, King still felt like something was missing and decided to try her hand at stand up comedy where she immediatly fell in love with the culture gained recognition in a place of mostly male comedians.
Williams’ raunchy sharp wit humor garnered her a spot on Shaq’s Comedy Contest and Centric TV’s Next Comedy All Star. Recent projects include a recurring role as Pastor Ramona on OWN Network’s Greenleaf, currently airing on television and next up Williams will be gueststarring on the Disney Channel series Best Friends Whenever. From stand-up comedy to performing dramatic roles on television, Williams is proving to be the breakout entertainer to watch. Some of her other credits included Centric TV’s According to Him and Her, NCIS:LA, and CBS’s Emmy nominated 2 Broke Girls. In her spare time, Williams loves to overindulge in organic popcorn, pilates and herbal chai tea.
